Burglaries, Thefts, and Vandalism in Manchester Township

The Northern York County Regional Police Department is investigating a rash of burglaries, thefts, and vandalism in the northwestern portion of the Township.  Below are summaries of each incident;

August 23, 2016

  1. 2500 block of Primrose Lane – Homeowner reported that between 2230 and 0200 hours a subject or subjects entered the home and removed two Kindle devices, a two cordless drills, two purses and contents, and cash.  The homeowners were home at the time.
  2. 1300 block of Garrison Drive – Homeowner reported that they failed to close their garage door and a blue single person kayak was taken.
  3. 1100 block of Detwiler Drive – A black EZ-GO Sport golf cart with utility bed was taken from the rear of a business.
  4. 1500 block of Detwiler Drive – A mailbox was damaged after being struck, possibly by the above golf cart
  5. 900 block of Bedford Road – A mailbox and post were damaged after being hit by a small vehicle such as a golf cart.
  6. 900 block of Shenandoah Ln – A mailbox and post were damaged after being hit by a small vehicle or golf cart.

August 24, 2016

  1. 3100 block of Balsa Street – Homeowners reported that a subject or subjects entered the home overnight and removed a purse, iPhone6, and a MacBook Pro from the kitchen area.  The homeowners were home at the time.
  2. 3100 block of Balsa Street – Homeowners reported that a subject or subjects entered the home overnight and removed a purse, Apple iWatch, keys, and two portable battery packs.  The homeowners were home at the time.
  3. 3100 block of Balsa Street – Homeowner reported that the screen on the rear screen door to the residence was cut overnight.  No entry was made to the occupied home.
  4. 3100 block of Sorrel Street – Resident reported that his electric bicycle was stolen from his outdoor shed overnight.

Residents are reminded to report suspicious activity, people, or sounds as soon as they occur.

All of the above incidents appear to be related.
