UPDATE: Arrests Made in Shooting Incident in Manchester Township

On 08.20.16 at 2125 hours the Northern York County Regional Police Department responded to York Hospital for a shooting victim.

Preliminary investigation found that a 19 year old York City male had been at the Econolodge located at 222 Arsenal Road in Manchester Township. An exchange of gunfire occurred in the parking lot of the hotel. The 19 year old suffered gunshot wounds to his torso and his leg. He was transported to York Hospital for treatment. He is still hospitalized.

Evidence at the scene indicates at least 4 guns were involved in the exchange of gunfire.

UPDATE:

Investigation into the Econo Lodge Shooting found that the victim, Myannh Legette, was meeting Kristopher Ray in the rear parking lot of the hotel to sell Ray a handgun.  Upon meeting Legette in the rear part of the parking lot, Kristopher Ray sent a message to his brother, Jordan Ray who was nearby in a white van.  Jordan Ray then pulled up alongside Legette and passengers in the van consisting of Khafre Johnson and another unknown black male exchanged gunfire with Legette.

At that time,  Kristopher Ray got out of his vehicle, a silver Chevrolet Impala, and fired at Legette.  Legette was struck in the back and leg and was taken to York Hospital by friends.  As the group was leaving, Kristopher Ray shot additional rounds at Justin Martinez who was alongside the hotel.  Martinez fired back at the vehicles as they left the area.  Three vehicles were damaged owned by patrons of the Hotel.

Arrests have been made in connection with this shooting incident.  The following people have been charged as a result of the incident.  Additional arrests are pending.

  1. Kristopher Ray, age 23, of the 700 block of Courtland Ave, York  –  Attempted homicide, Aggravated assault, Simple assault, Reckless endangerment, Firearms not to be carried without a license, Persons not to possess firearms, and Shooting into an occupied structure.
  2. Jordan Ray, age 23, of the 700 block of Courtland Ave, York  –  Attempted homicide, Aggravated assault, Simple assault, Reckless endangerment
  3. Khafre Johnson, age 23, of the 200 block of West College Ave, York – Attempted homicide, Aggravated assault, Simple assault, Reckless endangerment, Firearms not to be carried without a license, Persons not to possess firearms, and Shooting into an occupied structure.
  4. Justin Martinez, age 21, 1800 block of Ashcombe Dr, Dover – Aggravated assault. Persons not to possess firearms, Firearms not to be carried without a license, Simple assault
  5. Myannh Legette, age 19, 1600 block of Filbert St, York – Persons not to possess firearms, firearms not to be carried without a license
  6. Brian Iglesias, age 20, 1600 block of Westgate Drive, York – Hindering apprehension, False identification to law enforcement
