On 03.10.2017 at 0929 hours the Northern York County Regional Police Department responded to a vehicle crash in the 100 block of South Main Street in Dover Borough.

The responding Officer found that a SUV being operated by a 46 year old Dover male was travelling westbound on Park Street when it failed to stop for the posted stop sign.  The vehicle travelled across Carlisle Road and struck a vehicle parked in the parking lot of an auto repair shop located at 108 South Main Street.  The SUV and the parked vehicle then impacted the building.  The SUV overturned and the driver was trapped inside the vehicle.

The 46 year old male driver was extricated from the vehicle by the fire department.  The male was taken to York Hospital for minor injuries.

Alcohol was a factor in this crash and a criminal investigation is continuing.
