National Night Out 2017 – One Week Away

On Tuesday August 1, 2017 from 5:30 to 8pm the Northern York County Regional Police Department and our constituent municipalities will host our 6th annual National Night Out Celebration.  National Night Out is designed to foster improved police-community relations and  provides for an atmosphere for the police department and its citizens to interact.

NYCRPD’s National Night Out will be held at the Union Fire and Hose Company located at 30 East Canal Street in Dover Borough.

Everything at the event is free of charge and is open to anyone living in Dover Township, Dover Borough, Manchester Township, Paradise Township, Conewago Township, North York Borough, Franklin Township, and Jackson Township.

Highlights of the event include;

  • Free hot dogs and hamburgers prepared by NYCRPD Officers (Sponsored by ES3 and Giant Food)
  • Free food and snacks provided by Mission BBQ, Turkey Hill, Z&D Fries, Amy’s Custom Cakery, Sarah’s Creamery, On the Grind Coffee, and Strinestown FD
  • Free door prize raffles for attendees of all ages
  • Musical Performance by the Doozies

Activities include;

  • Bounce house and inflatable obstacle course
  • Face painting
  • Carnival style games
  • Interactive displays provided by the US Armed Forces
  • Dunk Tank Canned Food Drive

Dunk Tank Canned Food Drive:

A dunk tank will be set up during the event.  Numerous NYCRPD Officers and special guests will be in the tank.  Please bring a canned or non-perishable food item to the dunk tank.  For every item you donate, you will get three chances to dunk whomever is in the tank.  All collected food items will be donated to the Dover Area Food Bank.  The Food Bank will also be accepting cash donations.
