Rainfall is predicted in the South Central Pennsylvania Region for the next several days. Please review the forecast for the period in this post.

The NYCRPD reminds all motorists to be aware of the potential for rain water pooling in poor drainage areas on roadways throughout the  NYCRPD jurisdiction.

Potential hazards include those areas where snow has blocked drains and run off areas. This may include areas where low snowmelt has not shown previous drainage related problems. All motorists are encouraged to be alert while driving during the periods of anticipated rainfall.

Areas of caution should include East Canal Road in Conewago Township, Baker Road in Dover Township, Bigmount Road in Paradise Township, and low lying roadways in Franklin Township.

Motorists should never drive through flooded roadways and standing water
