Traffic Safety Operation – Route 15 Corridor – Franklin Township

The NYCRPD launched a multi – patrol unit traffic safety operation on Route 15 in FRANKLIN TOWNSHIP today.  This operation was designed to identify and issue citations to motorists driving in excess of posted speed limits and violating other vehicle code provisions. The operation  employs both marked and unmarked units and officers utilizing VASCAR and ENRADD speed monitoring devices. The enforcement project is ongoing and located at various venues on the Route 15 corridor in FRANKLIN TOWNSHIP.

Motorists are reminded that the Route 15 corridor is designated as a target enforcement area by PENNDOT. Large billboard signs designate the area as a targeted enforcement area in both York and Adams County. The NYCRPD is committed  to cooperation with PENNDOT and FRANKLIN TOWNSHIP officials to the goal of  reduction of crashes in this high crash frequency roadway.
