On 11/09/2010 at 8:13pm the Northern York County Regional Police Department responded to an EMS call at the Nashville Fire Department on Hanover Road in Jackson Township.

The responding officer, Matthew Chetaitis, a six year veteran of the NYCRPD, and members of the Nashville Fire Department found a 26 year old female from Hanover in a vehicle in the parking lot of the fire station.  The female reported that her water broke around 6:00pm and that her friend was trying to drive her to York Hospital.  Officer Chetaitis and Nashville Fire Department Deputy Chief Brad Dunham  assisted the female into the fire station and allowed her to lay down on a couch.  Officer Chetaitis and Deputy Chief Dunham observed the head of the baby to be crowning and emergency childbirth procedures were implemented.  The female gave birth to a baby boy moments later.  Officer Chetaitis and Deputy Chief Dunham cared for the child and mother until advanced EMS personnel arrived.  The mother and child were transported to York Hospital by ambulance.

The mother’s name is not being released at this time.
