On 11/29/2010 at 1315 hours the Northern York County Regional Police were dispatched to the Manchester Crossroads parking lot in Manchester Township after a subject threw a large stone through the window of an occupied vehicle.

James Taylor, age 52 of York Haven, reported that he was sitting in his work truck on the west side of the Crossroads Parking lot.  A black male approached the vehicle and wanted Taylor to step outside to fight.  After Taylor refused the black male then began throwing football size pieces of concrete at Taylor’s vehicle.  One of the concrete pieces smashed through the driver’s window of the truck.  This caused glass and concrete fragments to strike Taylor.  As Taylor began to drive away, the black male continued to throw concrete at the truck.  Taylor advised that he had not seen the male before and had no idea as to why the subject wanted to fight him.

Taylor kept an eye on the male and called 911.  As officers arrived, Taylor pointed to the black male who was sitting near the Crossroads building.  Upon seeing the officers, the black male then ran past several of the storefronts and entered the Old Navy.  Officers located the male in the rear of the store attempting to hide in the dressing rooms.  As officers attempted to take the male into custody, a brief struggle ensued both inside the Old Navy and outside on the sidewalk.

The male was subsequently identified as Kevin Bradley Buchanan of no fixed address.

Bradley was taken to York County Central Booking and was arraigned on the following charges;

  • Simple Assault
  • Recklessly Endangering Another Person
  • Resisting Arrest or Other Law Enforcement
  • Criminal Mischief

The investigation into this incident is continuing.  Anyone with information is asked to call the Northern York County Regional Police at 717.292.3647 or use the crime tip reporting section of this website.
