Crash Injured Two Persons – Route 234 – Paradise Township

A Friday morning crash in Paradise Township left two persons suffering multiple injuries. The 8:51 AM crash at the intersection of the East Berlin Road (Rt.234) and Lake Road, left two vehicles heavily damaged and post crash departure from the roadway left a structure with damage to the front porch.

Sawyer Diehl, age 17, 298 Country Club Road, Abbottstown, PA operating a Hyundai Tiburon was north bound on Lake Road, when he entered the intersection into the path of Sharon Kehr, age 57, 134 Aspen Drive, East Berlin, PA operating a Dodge Nitro, west bound on Route 234. The NYCRPD was assisted at the crash scene by the East Berlin Fire Department, Hanover Hospital Medic Unit, and the East Berlin Fire Police. The roadway was closed with a detour established for approximately 45 minutes.

The NYCRPD continues the investigation into the crash and requests anyone with further information to contact the NYCRPD at 911 or via nycrpd.org.
