Tractor Trailer Stolen From Manchester Township Hotel

On 12/14/2010 at 0212 hours the Northern York County Regional Police responded to a report of a stolen tractor trailer at the Comfort Inn located at 2250 North George Street in Manchester Township.

Tony Owens, age 31 of Virginia Beach, Va, reported he was staying at the Comfort Inn and had his 2009 Freightliner tractor-trailer parked in the lot.  The trailer of the truck was loaded with dry canned goods and foodstuff.

The trucking company, Military Distributors-Virginia, was able to track the truck by its GPS unit.  The truck was found to be travelling eastbound on Interstate 78 in the area of Bethlehem.  The Pennsylvania State Police located the truck on I-78.  The driver of the stolen rig ran from the truck and could not be located. 

The contents of the trailer did not appear to be disturbed.
