Thieves Strike Unlocked Vehicles in Manchester Township

Between December 26th and 28th, 2010 the Northern York County Regional Police investigated thefts from six vehicles that were left unlocked in Manchester Township neighborhoods.  All three neighborhoods are townhouse/condo communities in the southeastern portion of the township.

The thieves removed small electronics such as GPS units, cell phones, cameras, and mp3 players from the vehicles as well as a briefcase and music cds.  These thefts occurred in the following areas. 

  1. 2400 block of Winterberry Lane
  2. 2400 block of Pin Oak Drive
  3. 2400 block of Alder Way
  4. 2200 block of Slater Hill Lane
  5. 500 block of Skyview Drive

 The Northern York County Regional Police urge residents to secure valuables and electronics in their homes and to lock their vehicles when left unattended.  Anyone who experienced  a similar theft or attempted theft is asked to call 911 so that an officer can contact you to take a report.
