On 05.18.2011 at 0013 hours the Northern York County Regional Police Department responded to a report of a woman with a gun in the first block of Mobile Drive in Paradise Township.
Neighbors who had called 911 reported that Sally Ann Fringer age 60, had brandished a firearm and had threatened to kill a police officerwho had arrested a family member. Fringer had the handgun secreted in her waistband and then pulled it out and showed it to the neighbors. The neighbors convinced Fringer to put the gun down and they then hid the firearm.
Responding officers took custody of the firearm and found it to be a .22 cal revolver. Officers were eventually able to find Fringer outside of her home and took her into custody.
Officers are still investigating how Fringer came into possession of the handgun.
Sally Ann Fringer was transported to York County Central Booking to await arraignment on the following charges;
- Firearms not to be carried without a license – Felony 3
- Terroristic Threats – Misdemeanor 1
- Disorderly Conduct – Misdemeanor 3
- Public Drunkenness – Summary
