The NYCRPD continues to investigate the reported theft of various street signs in Manchester Township. Someone removed six street signs bearing street names in the vicinity of the Outdoor County Club and other nearby housing areas. The signs removed bear the following inscriptions:
- Dandelion Drive
- Bee Jay Drive
- Persimmon Drive
- Stevenson Road
- Detweiler Drive
- Greenbriar Road
The losses associated with this crime are approximated at $600.00 for replacement of the signs. The NYCRPD reminds the public that assistance is necessary to identify and prosecute the persons responsible for this crime. The costs of such crimes are hard to measure because they result in the unnecessary duplication of public works department efforts, but also pose a threat to the health and safety of residents during emergencies because of the lack of street identifiers.
