North York Man Arrested After Threatening Neighbor

On 12.28.2011 at 2159 hours the Northern York County Regional Police Department responded to the first block of East Fifth Ave in North York Borough for a report of a neighbor dispute.

Upon arrival officers spoke to a 50 year old female who advised that she was being threatened by a 40 year old male neighbor.  The female victim advised that she went outside to start her vehicle in order ot go to work.  The male, Wesley Michael Cockerham then began yelling at the female.  During the exchange Cockerham followed the woman to her house and told her “if you call the cops, I’ll kill you and destroy your house”.  The female fled into her residence and called 9-1-1.

Responding officers located Cockerham in the rear fenced in yard of another neighbor’s home.  He was taken into custody and transported to Central Booking to face arraignment on the following charges;

  • Terroristic Threats
  • Loitering and Prowling at Nighttime
  • Criminal Trespass
  • Public Drunkenness
