The Northern York County Regional Police Department has charged a 44 year old Red Lion man with burglaries that occurred in Conewago, Dover, and Paradise Townships.
Michael James Hughes of the 312 West Broadway Street in Red Lion was charged for the following burglaries;
- A October 13, 2011 daylight burglary that occurred in the 5900 block of Bull Road in Dover Township. Jewelry, electronics, and a handgun were taken.
- A November 05, 2011 daylight burglary that occurred in the 1000 block of Bremer Road in Conewago Township. Jewelry and electronics were taken.
- A December 16, 2011 daylight burglary that occurred in the 4100 block of the Susquehanna Trail in Conewago Township. Jewelry and cash were taken.
- A December 20, 2011 daylight burglary that occurred in the 1300 block of Copenhaffer Road in Conewago Township. Jewelry, electronics, and a handgun were taken.
- A December 25, 2011 daylight burglary that occurred in the 100 block of Beaver Creek Road in Paradise Township. Jewelry was taken.
Hughes advised that he used the proceeds of the burglaries to support his addiction to heroin.
In each case Hughes was charged with the following offenses;
- Burglary
- Criminal Trespass
- Theft by Unlawful Taking
- Receiving Stolen Property
