On 11/16/11 The Northern York County Regional Police Department was dispatched to 8 S. Main St. Dover, PA in Dover Borough York County, PA for the death of a three month old infant male child. The infant’s death was ruled as Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS) by the York County Coroner’s Office. The police investigation showed that two other children, ages three and five, resided at the residence. The interior of the apartment was examined. Extremely poor living conditions were present. Dog urine and feces was present in the living room. Piles of uncleaned dishes were in the kitchen along with bags of open garbage sitting on the kitchen table. Police Officers noted that living insects were present throughout the house. Protective custody was taken taken over the two boys. The mother, Stacy Laws age 24, was charged with three counts of Endangering Welfare of Children.
