Smash and Grab Theft in Dover Borough

On 05.15.2012 at 1514 hours the Northern York County Regional Police Department responded to a jewelry store in the first block of South Main Street in Dover Borough for a reported smash and grab theft.

The business owners reported that a subject entered the store just after 1510 hours.  The subject approached a glass display case and shattered the glass with an unknown object.  The subject then took various jewelry items from the display case and ran out of the store.  The subject did not make any threats and did not display any type of weapon. 

Witnesses described the subject as possibly a Hispanic white male.  5’06” tall and wearing a red zippered hooded sweatshirt with white draw strings.  The sweatshirt had a black decorative design on the front and the hood was pulled tightly around his face.  The subject was last seen on foot travelling west on West Canal Street towards the area of Dover High School. 

The amount taken during the theft is undetermined.
