Two Arrested in Paradise Township Burglaries

On 06.07.2012 the Northern York County Regional Police Department arrested two individuals in connection with burglaries in Paradise Township.

Previously reported:

The Northern York County Regional Police Department investigated two burglaries in Paradise Township over the last two days.

On 06.05.2012 a commercial burglary occurred at a business int he 7300 block of Lincoln Highway.  The owner reported that between 06.04.2012 and 06.05.2012 unknown subjects entered the business and adjacent storage buildings and removed vehicle parts and scrap metal. 

On 06.06.2012 a barn in the 4500 block of East Berlin Road was burglarized.  Unknown subjects entered the barn and removed copper wiring.

The burglary in the 4500 block of East Berlin Road was captured on video.  A Ford Explorer was observed in the video as well at two white males.  On 06.07.2012 a Northern York County Regional Police Detective was following up on the case and observed the same Ford Explorer travelling eastbound on Lincoln Highway.  The vehicle was stopped and the two occupants were taken into custody.

Jason Copenhaver, age 34 and his step-son Mitch Sipe, age 24 were transported to Central Booking to face the following charges;

  • Burglary
  • Criminal Conspiracy to Commit Burglary
  • Criminal Trespass
  • Theft by Unlawful Taking
  • Receiving Stolen Property
