On 07.02.2012at 1858 hours the Northern York County Regional Police Department responded to a residence in the 4100 block of Nursery Road for a reported stabbing.
Investigation found that a a 39 year old Snyder County man was visiting a female at the residence. During the visit the female’s former paramour, Benjamin Black age 24, arrived at the residence. The two males engaged in a verbal argument that then turned physical. During the altercation, Black brandished a knife and charged at the other male. The victim was initially able to avoid the knife. Black then lunged at the victim a second time and stabbed/sliced him in the lower left side of his torso.
Black fled the scene in black Ford Focus. The victim was transported to York Hospital by Manchester Township EMS for treatment of his wound. The wound is not believed to be life threatening.
At 2311 hours Benjamin Black of the 3500 block of Davidsburg Road was taken into custody while he was walking along Carlisle Road in Dover Township. Black was transported to Central Booking to face arraignment on the following charges;
- Aggravated Assault
- Simple Assault
- Recklessly Endangering Another Person
- Terroristic Threats
- Possession of Instrument of Crime
- Criminal Trespass
