On Tuesday August 7, 2012 from 6pm to 9pm the Northern York County Regional Police Department will hold a National Night Out Event at the Dover Borough Fire Department at 30 East Canal Street in Dover.
Officers from the Northern York County Regional Police Department will host a community cookout with exhibits from the York County Quick Response Team, York County Department of Emergency Services, local fire departments, and locally owned businesses. York Revolution Mascot “Downtown” will also make an appearance at the event.
During the event a dunk tank will be utilized to collect donations for the Dover Area Food Bank. Donations of cash or a non-perishable food item will give the donor three chances at the dunk tank. Volunteers to be dunked include Chief Mark Bentzel and York County District Attorney Tom Kearney. All food and proceeds from the dunk tank will be delivered to the Dover Area Food Bank.
Questions concerning National Night Out can be directed to Lt. David Lash or Diane Wales at the Northern York County Regional Police Department by calling 717.292.0542.
2012 NYCRPD National Night Out is sponsored by CGA Law Firm, Wink 103 FM, Giant Food Stores, and the York Revolution.
