Previously reported;
On 07.11.2012 at 1432 hours the Northern York County Regional Police Department responded to a purse snatching in the 2100 block of Palomino Road in Dover Township.
A 40 year old Dover Township woman reported that she had just parked her vehicle in the parking lot of the shopping center and was walking towards the stores. At that time a black two door vehicle pulled out of a spot and blocked her path. The vehicle was occupied by a white female and a white male. The vehicle occupants stopped and stared at the victim for several seconds and then proceeded towards the Carlisle Road exit of the parking lot.
The victim continued walking towards the store. Seconds later the male passenger of the vehicle came up behind her and grabbed her wallet out of the cart she was pushing. The male then began to run back towards his vehicle. The victim gave chase and began yelling at the male to gain the attention of bystanders. The male then threw the wallet, entered the passenger side of the vehicle and the vehicle sped off towards Carlisle Road.
The victim in this case was not injured and all of her property was recovered.
The vehicle is described as an older model two door sports car, black in color.
The white female driver had long black hair.
The white male had dark hair, a full beard and was wearing a white t-shirt and a hat.
UPDATE
On 08.14.2012 Valerie Lynn Dattisman age 26 of the 1000 block of East Canal Road in Dover Township and Darren Poe age 44 of the 5200 block of Waltersdorff Road in North Codorus Township were arrested for their involvement in this incident.
Dattisman faces a single count of Criminal Conspiracy to Commit Robbery
Poe faces the following charges;
- Robbery
- Criminal Conspiracy to Commit Robbery
- Theft by Unlawful Taking
- Receiving Stolen Property
Both were taken to Central Booking for processing and arraignment. Both are currently being held at the York County Prison.
