Residents Subdue Man Stealing From Vehicles in Conewago Township

On 08.19.2012 at 0353 hours residents of Dietz Estates Drive in Conewago Township reported that they had a man in custody at the intersection of Dietz Estates Drive and Graffius Road that had been stealing from vehicles.

Responding Officers met with the residents who advised that they had observed the male entering numerous cars.  They chased him down the street and were able to catch him and hold him down until police arrived.

Officers took Jeremy Todd Wildasin age 19 of 315 Westwood Drive into custody.  Wildasin’s pants pockets were full of items that had been taken from nearby vehicles.  These items included GPS units, mp3 players, sunglasses, jewelry, change, and cash.

Wildasin was transported to Central Booking and arraigned on the following charges;

  • Theft by Unlawful Taking
  • Receiving Stolen Property
  • Loitering and Prowling at Nighttime
  • Disorderly Conduct
  • Public Drunkenness
  • Underage Drinking

Wildasin entered at least seven vehicles along Dietz Estates Drive and New Court.
