On 09.03.2013 at 0732 hours the Northern York County Regional Police Department responded to a motor vehicle crash on SR30 at Church Road in Paradise Township.

Investigation found that a 2002 Dodge Caravan operated by 65 year old Stephen Durnin of East Berlin was travelling southbound on Church Road.  The Durnin vehicle had stopped at the stop sign at the intersection and then pulled into the path of a westbound 2010 Peterbuilt bulk truck being operated by 62 year old Melvin Breneman of Lancaster.  The impact casued both vehicles to go off the roadway and come to a rest in a front yard.  The bulk truck, which was hauling 26,000 pounds of feed, overturned.

Durnin was transported to York Hospital for serious injuries.  Breneman was uninjured.

Traffic continues to be affected by the crash as workers attempt to offload the bulk truck.

The investigation into this crash continues.  Anyone with information should contact the Northern York County Regional Police Department at 717.292.3647 or use the crime tip reporting portion of this website.
