The Northern York County Regional Police Department has been made aware of a phishing scam involving an email that appears to have been sent from Verizon.  The email indicates that the company was unable to charge the person’s credit card and requests you click on a link to update your credit card information.

The email is not legitimate.  If you have followed the link and provided credit card information, please check your account for unauthorized usage and cancel the credit card.  If you have been a victim of this scam and unauthorized charges have been placed on your credit card, please call 911 and report it to your local police department.

The email contents are as follows;
