UPDATE: Suspicious Death Investigation Transferred to Lancaster County

The Northern York County Regional Police Department is investigating a death in North York Borough.

At 1400 hours the Northern York County Regional Police Department responded to a parking lot in the first block of West 10th Ave in North York Borough.  A passerby had found a deceased person in a parked car.

Officers responded and located a subject deceased in the passenger seat of a white sedan.  The York County Coroner’s Office was summoned to the scene.

The male subject has been deceased for several days.  The cause of death was not immediately apparent.  An autopsy on the subject was inconclusive pending toxicology tests.  There were no visible injuries to the body.

UPDATE:

The Northern York County Regional Police Department has determined through investigation that David Sellers died in Lancaster County and that his body was transported to York County postmortem.

The investigation into this case has been transferred to the Manheim Township Police Department in Lancaster County.

All questions concerning this investigation should be referred to Manheim Township Police and/or the Lancaster County District Attorney’s Office.
