On 10.30.2013 at 1444 hours the Northern York County Regional Police Department responded to a hit and run crash on North George Street near Taft Ave in Manchester Township.

A United States Postal Service delivery vehicle was making a curbside delivery along the southbound lanes of North George Street.  An older tan Honda sedan that was travelling southbound on North George Street, struck the delivery vehicle from behind.  The light skinned black or Hispanic male driver stopped and asked the postal worker if she was alright.  He then returned to his vehicle and sped off southbound at a high rate of speed.  The male did not provide any contact or identifying information to the postal worker.  The postal vehicle was moderately damaged in the crash.  The worker was uninjured.

The hit and run driver is believed to be in his mid 20’s.  The tan Honda sedan should have moderate front end damage.  The Honda is to be a four door sedan that has numerous bumper stickers on the rear bumper.  The postal worker was unable to obtain a registration.

The investigation into this hit and run crash continues.  Anyone with information is asked to contact the Northern York County Regional Police Department at 717.292.3647 or use the crime tip reporting portion of this website.
