On 11.10.2013 at 0239 hours two Northern York County Regional Police Officers heard the sound of gunshots coming from the area outside of the Belmont Club located at 36 West 11th Ave.

Responding Officers observed a white Ford SUV leaving the area without its lights on.  Officers stopped the vehicle and found that the rear seat passenger, a 23 year old York City resident, had suffered a gunshot wound to his arm.

The male was transported to York Hospital for treatment of his injuries.

The male advised that he had been at the Belmont Club when a fight had broken out inside the business.  The fight then spilled outside and he was running from the area when he heard the gunshots.  He was not part of the fight.  As he was running through a neighboring parking lot he felt pain in one of his arms.  He realized he had been shot and attempted to get someone to give him a ride.  He then laid down in the parking lot until found by the driver of the SUV.

The investigation into this incident continues.  Anyone with information is asked to contact the Northern York County Regional Police Department at 717.292.3647, through 911, or use the crime tip reporting portion of this website.
