Fatal Motorcycle Crash in Dover Township

On 05.13.2014 the Northern York County Regional Police Department responded to a motorcycle crash in the 2800 block of Oakland Road in Dover Township.

Initial investigation shows that a Corey Lauer age 27 of Mount Wolf was operating a Suzuki motorcycle westbound on Oakland Road at a high rate of speed when he lost control of the cycle.  The motorcycle traveled off of the roadway and through several residential yards.  The motocycle impacted a small embankment and Lauer was thrown from the motorcycle.

Corey Lauer was not wearing a helmet.  He was transported to York Hospital for serious head injuries.  He was pronounced dead at York Hospital at 0121 hours on May 14, 2014.
