Attempted Burglary in Jackson Township

On 12.29.2014 at 0351 hours the Northern York County Regional Police Department responded to the 4900 block of Grant Drive in Jackson Township for an attempted break in.

The homeowner reported that she was awakened by the sound of a window opening in her bedroom.  She then observed a hand coming through the open window.  The homeowner yelled at the subject and the subject fled from the home.  The homeowner provided the following description of the subject;

  • 5’8″ – 5’10” tall
  • Medium build
  • Dark colored bulky jacket
  • Camouflaged colored pants
  • Dark beanie cap and face covering
  • Wearing a dark colored back pack

The investigation into this incident continues.  It is unknown whether this incident is related to other similar incidents that have been reported in Jackson Township.  Anyone with information is asked to contact the Northern York County Regional Police Department at 717.292.3647 or use the crime tip reporting portion of this website.
