News Release : Robbery in Dover Borough

On 06/02/2010 at 1147 hours the Northern York County Regional Police responded to a report of a robbery in the first block of Kenray Ave in Dover Borough. 

A 45 year old Dover man and his 46 year old brother, reported that while outside their apartment in the first block of Kenray Ave, they were approached by a subject known to them as Israel Damien Rivera Jr, age 31 of York.  Rivera was with at least one other subject.  Rivera demanded money from the victims stating, “Gimme your money, empty your pockets out”.  Rivera and his accomplices then obtained an undetermined amount of cash from the victims.  The suspects then fled the area in a green Pontiac Grand Am.

A warrant was issued by MDJ Gerald Shoemaker for the arrest of Israel Damien Rivera Jr.  Investigators are attempting to identify the other suspects involved.

Israel Damien Rivera Jr is charged with the following offenses;

  • Robbery—PA Crimes Code Section 3701a1v—Felony of the third degree
  • Theft by Unlawful Taking or Disposition—PA Crimes Code Section 3921a –Misdemeanor of the second degree
  • Receiving Stolen Property—PA Crimes Code Section 3925a—Misdemeanor of the second degree
  • Simple Assault—PA Crimes Code Section 2701a1—Misdemeanor of the second degree
