Naloxone Save in Manchester Township

On 09.08.2015 at 1610 hours the Northern York County Regional Police Department responded to a motel located in the first block of Arsenal Road for a reported overdose.

Responding Officers located a 29 year old Reading area man in respiratory distress.  Heroin paraphernailia was located in close proximity to the male.

The Officers administered two doses of Naloxone nasal spray.  After approximately 2 minutes the subject opened his eyes.  By the time EMS arrived the male was conscious, alert, and speaking.

The male was taken to Memorial Hospital by EMS for additional treatment.

This is the fourteenth time that NYCRPD Officers have administered Naloxone.  Northern York County Regional Police Officers began carrying Naloxone on March 30, 2015.

The York County Naloxone program is sponsored by the York County District Attorney’s Office.
