On 10.09.2015 the Northern York County Regional Police Department was made aware of a written threat that was found in a classroom at Dover Area High School.  The threat contained information about a weapon.

The school was placed on lock down and students who had access to that specific classroom yesterday were isolated in the auditorium of the school.

The school district conducted searches in the school and no items were located that would support the threat that was made.

The building and students were deemed to be safe and the lock down was released around 1000 hours.

In addition to the School Resource Officer, additional Officers will be present at the school during the day and at dismissal.

The contents of the threat will not be released as the investigation into them are still active.

The investigation into this incident continues.  Anyone with information is requested to contact the Northern York County Regional Police Department at 717.292.3647 or utilize the crime tip reporting portion of this website.
