Subject Wanted in Attempted Homicide of a Police Officer

On 11.22.2015 at 2200 hours a Northern York County Regional Police Officer stopped a green 1994 Buick sedan bearing PA Registration # JVZ-6735 in the parking lot of the Crossroads Shopping Center in Manchester Township for suspected DUI.

The Officer made contact with the operator and detected a strong odor of burning marihuana emanating from the vehicle.  The Officer had the male step from the vehicle.  As the Officer was attempting to take the subject into custody, the male pulled a handgun from his waist area and fired three rounds at the Officer.  The Officer returned fire as the male jumped into his car and fled the scene.  The vehicle was last seen travelling on Heidelberg Ave towards the Susquehanna Trail.  The male had already provided his driver’s license to the Officer.

The Officer was not wounded by the gunfire, but did sustain facial injuries.  He did not require medical treatment.  The name of the Officer is not being released at this time.

The Northern York County Regional Police Department has obtained an arrest warrant for Trev Bowies Jackson age 24.  Jackson lives at 114 East College Ave in York City.  Jackson is charged with the following offenses.

  • Criminal Attempt Homicide
  • Aggravated Assault
  • Recklessly Endangering Another Person

Jackson is a described as follows;

  • Black male
  • 5″7″
  • 170 pounds
  • Blue jeans
  • Tan hooded jacket

The vehicle is a dark green or blue 1994 Buick LeSabre.  It is a four door and is displaying PA Reg # JVZ-6735.  All of the window are darkly tinted.

Jackson is armed and dangerous.  If you see Jackson call 911 immediately.
