On 03.19.2013 the Northern York County Regional Police Board of Commissioners honored Officer Patrick Gartrell Jr. as the Departments 2012 Officer of The Year.

On 11.14.2013 the PA DUI Association held its annual awards banquet in Seven Springs.  During the awards banquet, officers from across the Commonwealth were recognized for their achievements in DUI enforcement.  Three Northern York County Regional Police Officers received the coveted “DUI Top Gun” award.

Officer Isaiah Emenheiser who has been a NYCRPD Officer since 2005 consummated 87 DUI arrests in 2012.

Cpl. Cody Becker had 55 DUI arrests in 2012 and has been a NYCRPD Officer since 2009.

Officer Daniel Zimmerman who has been a NYCRPD Officer since 2008 effected 51 DUI arrests in 2012.

DECEMBER 17, 2013

On 12.17.2013 the Northern York County Regional Police Commission recognized two officers with the Life Saving Award. Cpl. J. Jeffrey Sierotowicz and Off. J. Frank Biesecker were each awarded the life saving award for their actions on October 6, 2013.

On October 6, 2013 at 2342 hours, the Officers responded to the 5100 block of Susquehanna Trail in Conewago Township for a male who had attempted suicide by hanging. The Officers arrived and found a male on the floor without a pulse.  The two Officers administered CPR until the arrival of EMS.  The Officers continued to assist EMS and the subject regained a pulse prior to being transported to the hospital.

DECEMBER 17, 2013

On 12.17.2013 the Northern York County Regional Police Commission recognized five Officers for their actions in arresting a shooting suspect on November 23, 2013.

On November 23, 2013 at approximately 0225 hrs the NYCRPD was called to the Belmont Club at 36 West 11th Avenue.  The Officers were told a male was in the parking lot with a handgun.  The Officers were unable to locate the male due to the size of the crowd leaving the club. While Officers were still in the parking area of the club, a gunshot was heard.

The shooting victim was taken inside the club by patrons and the Officers quickly identified the shooter. The shooter locked inside his vehicle sitting in the parking lot.  After the shooter refused to exit the vehicle, a car window was broken and the shooter was forcibly removed from the vehicle.  Officers located a semi-automatic .45 caliber pistol on the passenger seat. This male was charged with Criminal Attempt Homicide and placed in York County Prison.

  • Officer J. Frank Biesecker
  • Officer Andrew Miller
