On 04.23.17 at 1524 hours the Northern York County Regional Police Department responded to a two vehicle crash on East Canal Road near Lewisberry Road in Conewago Township.
Initial investigation found that a 1997 Harley Davidson motorcycle was travelling westbound on East Canal Road when in crossed the center line and collided with a 2013 Toyota SUV that was travelling eastbound on East Canal Road.
The motorcycle operator, 36 year old Jennifer Bortner of Spring Grove, was thrown from the vehicle. She was pronounced dead at the scene by the York County Coroner’s Office. Bortner was not wearing a helmet.
The occupants of the SUV were uninjured.
