On 06.27.2017 at 2037 hours the Northern York County Regional Police Department responded to the 600 block of County Line Road in Franklin Township for an attempted distraction burglary.
The resident, an elderly female, reported that a white male in his late 40s or 50s came to her home and was knocking on the door. The male was described as a stocky male in a tan shirt. The resident also observed a purple/maroon Chrysler PT Cruiser parked down her driveway. Near the Chrysler was a black male wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt and a white female (no further description).
The resident’s daughter had relayed information to her mother in regards to the prior distraction burglary in the area and the resident refused to open the door and called 911.
The group of individuals then left the residence and traveled on County Line Road towards Capitol Hill Road. The vehicle then came back and parked near the end of the resident’s driveway very briefly as if they were picking up another occupant. The vehicle then left the area a second time and was last seen travelling northbound on SR15.
