On 05.14.19 at 6:02 PM the Northern York County Regional Police investigated an accident on Davidsburg Rd. at South Salem Church Rd. The accident involved a Dover Township Fire Department Truck and a passenger vehicle.
The fire truck was westbound on Davidsburg Rd. It was responding to an appliance fire. The fire truck was to be using its lights and sirens as it approached the intersection with South Salem Church Rd.
A passenger vehicle was driving south on South Salem Church Rd. and approached the intersection with Davidsburg Rd. at the same time that fire truck approached the intersection.
The fire truck was to be facing a steady red traffic light as it went through the intersection. The fire truck struck the driver’s side of the passenger vehicle.
A female in the front passenger seat of the struck vehicle needed to be taken to the hospital for a moderate level of injury.
No fire fighters were injured in this crash.
