NYCRPD to Offer Defensive Driving Program

The Northern York County Regional Police Department will be sponsoring the National Safety Council’s “Defensive Driving” program.  The program is open to those drivers who are age 16 or older and possess a valid Pennsylvania driver’s license.  The program is also open to drivers who are age 55 or older and have attended prior “Coaching the Mature Driver” programs.

The course will be held on two consecutive Saturdays from 8:00 am until 12:00 noon.  The dates of the course are as follows;

  • March 10 and March 17, 2012  (deadline for registration is March 2, 2012)

The program will take place at the Northern York County Regional Police Department located at 1445 East Canal Road Dover, PA 17315.  The class is limited to 30 persons and is filledon a “first come/first served” basis.

Requirements for successful completion:

  • Attendee must be age 16 or older
  • Attendee must possess a valid PA Driver’s License
  • Attendee must attend BOTH 4 hour classes.

Registration may be secured by calling the Northern York County Regional Police Department at 717.292.3647 or by filling out a registration form at the station during normal business hours(Monday through Friday 8:30am to 4:30pm).
