Arrest Made in 2012 Dover Township Robbery

On 08/01/12 at 10:15pm The Northern York County Regional Police Department was dispatched to investigate a robbery at a Turkey Hill Minit Market. The Turkey Hill is located at 2820 Carlisle Rd. in Dover Township York County. The actor robbed the cashier at knife point. The suspect stole $117.00 cash from the cash register. The suspect description is a w/m 6’00″ – 6’02″ weighing 160-180lbs. Outstanding features on the suspect was his blue eyes. The suspect was wearing gray beanie hat with a gray bandana to cover his face and neck. The suspect had a red t shirt with white lettering and a gray long sleeve t shirt under the red t shirt.


The Northern York County Regional Police Department has arrested 20 year old Matthew Sharp of 2 North Main Street in Dover Borough for this robbery.

A witness came forward in January 2013 indicating that Sharp had been bragging about committing this robbery.  A photo lineup was constructed and shown to the clerk from the night of the robbery.  The clerk positively identified Sharp from the lineup as well as a photo of a distinct tattoo that Sharp had on his arm.

An arrest warrant was obtained for Sharp and he was arrested on 02.07.2013 by the United States Marshal’s Fugitive Task Force.
