alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-15109\" width=\"590\" height=\"593\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n<p>The Northern York County Regional Police Department is partnering with the Boy Scouts of America to offer a Law Enforcement Explorers Program.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Goals and Objectives of the program<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Recruitment tool for future men and women in law enforcement<\/li>\n<li>Community relations effort between police, youth and the community<\/li>\n<li>Utilizes volunteers within the Northern York County Regional Police Department and other partner agencies<\/li>\n<li>Develop and uphold the basic objectives of the Program as sponsored through the Boy Scouts of America through the contribution of the police to the Explorer in three areas:\n<ul>\n<li>Character building<\/li>\n<li>Leadership development<\/li>\n<li>Build an appreciation for community services and good citizenship<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Program Topics<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Explorer Post members receive basic instruction in various phases of law enforcement including:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Criminal law<\/li>\n<li>Traffic law<\/li>\n<li>Criminal investigation<\/li>\n<li>Crime prevention<\/li>\n<li>Traffic control and direction<\/li>\n<li>Accident investigation<\/li>\n<li>Juvenile delinquency<\/li>\n<li>Other related topics which are integral parts of law enforcement<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Membership<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>To be eligible for membership in the Program a candidate must:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Be at least 14 years of age, in junior high school or high school.<\/li>\n<li>Have at the time of entry and maintain a minimum grade \u201cC\u201d average in school<\/li>\n<li>Be a responsible citizen with a good reputation and good moral character<\/li>\n<li>Be able to safely perform duties of this position without posing a threat to the health and safety of themselves or others<\/li>\n<li>Have full approval of parents or guardian and assurance of their support and cooperation<\/li>\n<li>Be citizens of the United States at the time of their application<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Application and Additional Information<\/b><\/p>\n<p>If you
