On 07.17.21 at approximately 11:57 PM the Northern York County Regional Police Department investigated the death of Shawn P. Dietzel. Shawn Dietzel was a 32 year old who resided in Washington Borough, Lancaster County. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Shawn Dietzel’s body was discovered lying in the 6600 block of Moul Rd. in Jackson Township. Shawn Dietzel had spent the evening with Michael McBride. Michael McBride is a 37 year old resident of Lancaster, PA.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Through investigation it was learned that Michael McBride and Shawn Dietzel drove from Lancaster to a home in West Manchester Township to visit a friend. While visiting the friend Michael McBride provided Shawn Dietzel with a pill which he ingested. Shawn Dietzel went unconscious a short time later. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Shawn Dietzel, unconscious but still breathing, was placed into Michael McBride’s vehicle. Michael McBride drove into the countryside. Michael McBride eventually stopped in the 6600 block of Moul Rd. where Shawn Dietzel’s body was found. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The same type of pill that was reportedly supplied to Shawn Dietzel was found on scene at Moul Rd. The pills were analyzed and determined to contain Fentanyl. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
An autopsy of Shawn Dietzel was conducted which showed that the cause of death was Fentanyl, Ethanol, Oxazepam and Nordiazepam Toxicity. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Michael McBride was charged with Murder of the 3rd Degree, Drug Delivery Resulting in Death, Manufacture, Deliver or Possession with Intent to Manufacture or Deliver Fentanyl, Criminal Use of a Communication Facility and Abuse of Corpse.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Michael McBride was taken into custody by the US Marshall’s Task Force at his home in Lancaster County. He was arraigned at the York County Judicial Center. Michael McBride’s is being held in the York County Prison in lieu of $1,000,000 bail. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
