{"id":19506,"date":"2023-02-01T12:43:14","date_gmt":"2023-02-01T17:43:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/nycrpd.org\/?p=19506"},"modified":"2023-02-01T12:43:15","modified_gmt":"2023-02-01T17:43:15","slug":"domestic-related-shooting-in-jackson-township","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nycrpd.org\/?p=19506","title":{"rendered":"Domestic Related Shooting in Jackson Township"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>On 02.01.2023 at approximately 0421 hours the Northern York County Regional Police Department was dispatched to Chesapeake Estates in Jackson Township for a reported shooting.  The 54 year old female victim had fled the area to a nearby business.  Responding officers met with the victim and determined that she had suffered a bullet wound to the hand and shoulder.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The victim advised that she and David Charles Serio, age 59 were involved in a verbal argument about the male&#8217;s computer.  As the victim was getting into her car to leave, Serio fired multiple rounds at her vehicle.  Two of the rounds struck her.  Her injuries are not life threatening.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Officers then responded to the residence to take Serio into custody.  Officers were able to make contact with Serio, who was still armed with a handgun, and take him into custody without incident.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>David Charles Serio was arraigned before MDJ Thomas Riley on the following charges:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Criminal Attempt Homicide<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Aggravated Assault (3 counts)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Propel Missile into Occupied Vehicles<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Recklessly endangering another person<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>David Charles Serio was committed to York County Prison in lieu of $50,000 bail.  A booking photo is not yet available.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The investigation into this incident continues.
