Bank Robbery \u2013 Suspect Identified and Arrested<\/strong>
Case #2025-050956<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

On November 21, 2025 at 1006 hours<\/strong>, the Northern York County Regional Police Department responded to a reported bank robbery at First National Bank<\/strong>, located at 55 Arsenal Road<\/strong>, Manchester Township.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bank employees reported that a male, believed to be in his 50s, entered the bank and approached the teller counter. He asked for something to write on and was given a deposit slip. When another customer entered, the male became visibly flustered, stated he had forgotten something in his vehicle, and exited the bank. After the customer left, the male returned a short time later.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Upon re-entering, the male approached a teller and asked if she could \u201cdo him a favor,\u201d before instructing her to give him \u201ceverything in the drawers\u201d and not to activate the panic alarm. The male insinuated that he possessed a weapon; however, no weapon was displayed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The suspect fled the bank on foot toward North George Street with an undisclosed amount of cash. He then entered a vehicle parked nearby and fled the area northbound on North George Street.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Officers quickly identified the suspect as Shannon Eric Steckbeck<\/strong>, age 59, of Harrisburg. Steckbeck was believed to be operating a black Volkswagen sedan with a known Pennsylvania registration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the early morning hours of November 22, 2025<\/strong>, NYCRPD patrol officers located Steckbeck\u2019s vehicle in the parking lot of the Inn of York<\/strong>, 222 Arsenal Road. Steckbeck was not located at that hotel. Officers continued searching the area and were able to track Steckbeck to the Days Inn<\/strong>, 334 Arsenal Road, where he was taken into custody without incident.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Steckbeck was transported to Central Booking<\/strong> for arraignment on the following charges:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
