Critical Fire Conditions Expected For Much Of The Listening Area.

According to the National Weather Service in Grand Forks a Red Flag Warning has been issued, caused by low humidity and gusty wind. Northwest wind 20 to 30 miles per hour is expected with gusts up to 45 miles per hour.

Portions of northeast North Dakota and the northern Red River Valley in Minnesota, are scheduled to be under the Red Flag Warning, from 1PM this afternoon to 8PM this evening.

According to the National Weather Service, any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly. Outdoor burning is not recommended.

A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions are either occurring now, or are expected to shortly.
