On 03.18.22 the Northern York County Regional Police Department investigated a house fire in the 4900 block of East Berlin Rd. in Paradise Township.
On scene a firefighter and a police officer found the single family home to be on fire. They gained access into the home. Richard Bowersox, age 71, was found lying inside the front door. Richard was the sole occupant of the home.
Lifesaving measures were performed on Richard Bowersox without success. The York County Coroner responded to the scene and determined that the gentleman had died of smoke inhalation.
A Pennsylvania State Police Fire Marshall responded to the scene. The fire was determined to have been started in the kitchen. The origin of the fire was non-criminal in nature.
