On 02.21.23 at approximately 12:16 AM the Northern York County Regional Police Department investigated a robbery that occurred in the 1400 block of Toronita St. in Manchester Township. The police interviewed a 23 year old victim who had swelling to his face and blood coming from his mouth.
The victim reported that he was leaving the Sheetz located in the 5200 block of Susquehanna Trail in Conewago Township when he heard someone call out his name. The victim reported the person that called out to him was Jace Warfield. The victim advised that Jace Warfield, 20 years old, was an acquaintance that he had not seen in some time. Jace Warfield was with Jerrell Muraba, 21 years old, who the victim did not know.
Jace Warfield asked the victim if he would like to ride around and hang out with them. The victim was walking home and accepted the offer. They left in Jace Warfield’s gray 2016 Nissan Sentra.
The victim advised that they drove around and eventually ended up at the Sheetz located in the 200 block of Toronita St. in Manchester Township. The victim and Jace Warfield went inside the business to use the restroom. The trio left the Sheetz and drove to the rear parking lot of the Sleep Inn, which is located in the 1400 block of Toronita St., Manchester Township.
The victim advised Jerrell Muraba requested he exit the vehicle because Muraba needed to look for a lost item in the vehicle. The victim advised once outside the vehicle Jerrell Muraba began attacking him by punching him in the face. The victim reported that Jace Warfield cheered as the victim was on the ground being kicked. The victim advised that his wallet and cell phone were stolen from him during the robbery.
The police reviewed surveillance video at the Sheetz on Toronita St. to corroborate the victim’s statements. The police then went to the Sheetz on Susquehanna Trial to further verify the victim’s account. While at the Sheetz along Susquehanna Trail the police officer observed a gray Nissan Sentra at the gas pumps. Two suspects as described by the victim exited the vehicle.
Jace Warfield and Jerrell Muraba were taken into custody. Upon search incident to arrest both Jace Warfield and Jerrell Muraba possessed credit cards, debit cards belonging to the victim.
Both individuals were taken to the York County Booking Center for preliminary arraignment. They both were charged with Criminal Conspiracy to Commit Robbery, Theft, Receiving Stolen Property, and Simple Assault. Jace Warfield’s bail was set at $100,000.00. Jerrell Muraba’s bail was set at $225,000.00.
