Two individuals have been arrested for stealing a milling machine and causing damage to Kauffman Park. The park is located at 350 E. 5th Ave. in North York Borough. The crime occurred on 10.06.24 at 4:30 AM.

Tylor A. Stough, age 21, along with a 17-year-old juvenile have been charged with Theft by Unlawful Taking, Receiving Stolen Property, and Criminal Mischief. Tyler Stough is currently waiting for his preliminary arraignment before Magisterial District Judge Clancy. A juvenile allegation was filed on the juvenile defendant.

Both defendants had been residing at a place in North York Borough. No reason for the theft was given at the time of police interview.

The Wirtgen W50 DCi milling machine was valued at over $200,000.00. The damage to park property will exceed $15,000.00. All estimates of damage had not been obtained at the time of criminal charges.

On 10.06.24 at 4:30 AM two unknown suspects stole a Wirtgen W50 DCi road construction milling machine from N. George St. and 8th Ave. in North York Borough. The machine was owned by Kinsley Construction.

The machine was driven to Kauffman Park located 350 E. 5th Ave. Once at the park the suspects drove across the basketball court and ran over items such as park benches, trash cans, and parking signs. The machine eventually became disabled in the grass at the park.
