On Sunday April 26, 2026 at 1:28PM the Northern York County Regional Police Department responded to the first block of North Main Street in Dover Borough where a witness reported seeing a male throw a dog out of his vehicle. Officers spoke with the witness who reported seeing a white male driving a black Chevrolet pickup (pictured) slow down, throw the dog out of his truck and then continue driving northbound on North Main Street. The witness retrieved the female dog and contacted 911. Officers found the light colored, medium size dog to be malnourished and injured, so she was taken to the SPCA for medical treatment. She was wearing a collar with no tags and was not micro-chipped. The SPCA has named her “Goldie”.
