On 10.01.23 Northern York County Regional Police Detective Steven Lebo received a Meritorious Service Award.  The award was a recognition of his ongoing dedication to excellence and professionalism in serving his community. 

The award was given to Det. Lebo at a We Support Our Police event held by Senator Mike Regan.  The event was held at the Dill Tavern in Dillsburg, PA.

Senator Regan stated that when searching for a recipient of the Meritorious Service Award he considered recommendations from law enforcement officials throughout Cumberland County and York County. Senator Regan accepted the recommendation of York County District Attorney David Sunday.

District Attorney Sunday advised that Det. Lebo easily came to mind.  District Attorney Sunday stated that he is unable to count the vast number of hours that he has spent working with Det. Lebo on complex criminal investigations. District Attorney Sunday highlighted Det. Lebo’s ability to show compassion to victims of crime.

A brief biography of Det. Steven Lebo:

Steven Lebo is a 2003 graduate of Cedar Crest High School and a 2011 graduate from University of Pittsburgh with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology.  He graduated from the Harrisburg Area Community College Police Academy on May 30, 2008. He became a Northern York County Regional Police Officer on July 24, 2008. He entered the Criminal Investigations Division in 2019.

Over his career he has received 13 Citizen Commendations and 7 Chief’s Commendations.  He was named the 2022 Northern York County Regional Police Officer of the Year.  He is a Senior Traffic Crash Reconstructionist, Crime Scene Technician, Computer Voice Stress Operator, and Project Lifesaver Instructor.
