On 07.11.24 at 5:11 AM the Northern York County Regional Police Department responded to a mobile home fire at 5145 N Susquehanna Trail York, PA in the Meadow Run Mobile Home Park. The park is located in Conewago Township.
Strinestown Fire Department responded and found the front half of the home on fire. The fire department was able to extinguish the fire.
There was only one person in the home at the time. Tracy Emig, 54-year-old male, was not conscious when he was removed from the home through the rear bedroom window by firefighters. Lifesaving efforts were started on scene.
The man was transported to York Hospital where he was later pronounced dead. No cause of death has been released. There is no autopsy scheduled.
A Northern York County Regional Police Fire Investigator and Pennsylvania State Police Fire Marshall conducted an investigation into the cause of the fire. The fire started in the kitchen of the home. The cause of the fire was an overloaded electrical power strip. No smoke detectors were found in the home.
